Judy Diane Gilbert, 68, Neosho entered eternal rest on Sept. 6, 2018.
She was born June 14, 1950 in Suisun, CA to Robert and Dorothy (Cupp) Lewis, but spent most of her life in the Neosho area. Judy worked as a CNA caregiver in nursing homes. She enjoyed shopping, flea markets, going to Branson, and loved to cook. Judy was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She and Jim Gilbert were married May 22, 1966 in Neosho; he survives of the home. Additional survivors include her mother Dorothy Abernathy of Neosho; three children: Paula Bates and husband, Bradley of Stark City, Mike Gilbert and wife, Cheryl of Neosho, and Roger Gilbert of Neosho; one brother, Bill Lewis of Neosho; four sisters, Linda Taylor of Diamond, Connie Sreaves of Wynoka, OK, Donna Gilbert of Seneca, and Brenda Roller of Neosho; six grandchildren: Brittany Salazar, Brandon Bates, Katilyn Bates, Cassidy Hinderliter, Taryn Burkhart, and Lelisa Gilbert; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.
A time of visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 10 from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. Graveside services will be 10 am, Tuesday, Sept. 11 at New Salem Cemetery, with Rev. Tony Martin officiating.
