Sharon Horton

Sharon Virginia Horton, 78, of Anderson, Missouri entered into heaven on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Sharon was born on September 4, 1940 in Anderson, Missouri to her parents, Francis and Joan (Green) Greer. Her faith was undenominational and was a member of the Hilltop Mission Church in Anderson, Missouri.

A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker. Sharon was a talented seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, loved to cook, crafting and yard sales. She was so proud of her family and loved family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. Sharon was kind, loyal, patient and trusted God. She loved unconditionally and in return was much loved by her friends and family. Sharon will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Greer and her step father, Arthur Stalker who lovingly raised her.

Sharon was the beloved wife of Ronnie Horton for 55 years, who she married on May 31, 1963. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; two children, Rick Horton and wife Robin of Rogers, Arkansas, Marie Campbell and John of Anderson, Missouri; six grandchildren, Erica Price and husband, Michael, Liz Call and husband, Eric, Bobby Campbell and wife, Alisha, Evan Campbell and wife, Kasey, Hollye Horton and Hunter Horton; nine great grandchildren, Kaidan, Jaxen, Dacota, Truett, Crew, Bentli, Charlie, Grady and Paisley.

She is also survived by her mother, Joan Stalker; sister, Carolyn Burr of Anderson, Missouri; a brother, Gary Stalker and wife, Donna of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, Sandy, Debbie, Jo, Randy, Laura, Amy, Jeremy, Ryan and Zach.

Funeral Service will held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Reverend Rick Booyer will officiate. Final resting place will be at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark funeral home; family will receive friends at this time.
