Sharon Kimbrough

Sharon Kay Kimbrough, 73, Neosho, formerly of Stella, entered into rest on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at her home, following an illness, surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born Feb. 11, 1945 in Stella, the daughter of Homer and Mabel (Clymer) Hance. She graduated from Stella High School in 1963 and was a lifelong area resident of the Stella and Neosho area. 

Following graduation from high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Kimbrough, who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2009, after 46 years of marriage. While raising her family, Sharon worked at La Z Boy; administrative assistance of Eagle Picher; Mid America Precision Products and Triway school food service. She enjoyed cooking for her family, going out to eat, riding horses, traveling and especially going to the beach. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. 

Sharon is survived by two daughters, Sheila Guinn and husband, Keith of Stella and Michele Christman and husband, Nick of Neosho and special friend, Bob Baker of Wheaton. She was a special nana to four granddaughters, Jaysa Bookwalter and husband, Nathan of Spring, TX; Jaclyn McCully and husband, Nick of Jacksonville, FL; Danielle Sarratt and husband, Drew of Goodman; Morgan Starbuck and husband, Cason of Neosho and one grandson, Justin Guinn and wife, Kaci of Stella; twelve great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bookwalter, Alivia McCully, Cole Bookwalter, Kelby Sarratt, Jaxson McCully, Caleb Bookwalter, Remi Guinn, Reid Sarratt, Wyatt McCully, Sadi Guinn, Emma McCully and Stellan Starbuck. She was a special aunt to Randy, John and Jeff Hance and great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, JR Hance and Jerry Hance; three sisters in law, Clara and Barbara Hance and Sharon Easom and a nephew, Jim Hance. Graveside services will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 11 am at Macedonia Cemetery, Stella, Missouri and Pastor Jerry Yarnall will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Guinn, Nathan Bookwalter, Nick McCully, Drew Sarratt, Randy Hance and Jeff Hance. Honorary pallbearers will be Cason Starbuck and John Hance. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Avalon Hospice in Sharon’s memory, in care of Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
