Nita Borden, age 74, of Joplin, passed away on Monday September 17, 2018, at the Joplin Gardens, following a long illness.
Nita was born on January 10, 1944 in Hurley, Mo., the daughter of the late Herbert and Esther (Porter) McHolland. She was a sales representative for over 30 years for several food distributors, retiring in 2010. She was a lover of music, enjoyed traveling, and enjoyed working in her outside garden.
Nita is survived by one son, Jeff Anderson and wife Andrea, Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Janet Wartnaby and husband James, Joplin, Mo. and Jayma Lincoln and husband Charlie, Bartlesville, Ok.; one brother, Cecil Clark, Hurley, Mo.; one niece, Gina Elkins, and her husband, David, of Hurley, Mo; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Reyes, Zach Terry, Chelsea Dooling, Kara Terry, Hunter Anderson, Kyler Anderson, and Katherine Fox; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Duane Clark; and one grandson, Jared Hill.
Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Crow will officiate. Burial will be 12:30 p.m. at Wright Cemetery, near Hurley, Mo.
The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Regional Hospice in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
