Illa Rae Stinson of Afton, OK passed from this life Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, OK. She was 81.
Illa was born November 6, 1936 in Picher, Ok to Roy John “Dode” and Loyce Lenore (Skinner) Bigley. She had lived in Picher most of her life before moving to Afton. Illa had worked at the Parsons Ammunition Plant in Parsons, KS for many years.
Illa was preceded in death by her husband Carl Lee “Mike” Stinson in 1999, her parents and 4 sisters Marcelle, Mary Nell, Evelyn and Alice.
Survivors include 2 sons Patrick David Stinson and wife Felicia of Galena, KS and Barry Franklin Stinson and wife Sheri of Quapaw, OK, 2 daughters Michael “Mikey” Christine Maute and husband Truman of Afton, OK and Debra Jean Nichols and husband Darrell of Joplin, MO, 2 brothers David Bigley and Jerry Bigley both of Wills Point, TX, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends before the services from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
