Mr. Glenn Allen Gary, 69, of Joplin, Missouri departed this life on Monday, September 10, 2018 at his home following a sudden illness.
Glenn entered this life on January 10, 1949 in Dodge City, Kansas born to the union of Gordon Glenn and Ethel Irene (Day) Gary. On September 21, 1974 in Dodge City, Kansas he was united in marriage to Bonnie Collins and to this union a son and daughter were born. Bonnie and Glenn resided in Dodge City until moving to Joplin, Missouri in 1981. Glenn worked for 20 plus years at Tamko in Joplin, Missouri. He enjoyed golfing, playing his guitar and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Gary and a brother, Earl Gary.
Glenn is survived by his children, Joshua Gary and wife, Charlotte, of Aurora, Colorado, Charanda Moss and husband, Preston, of Jasper, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Olivia Moss, Lincoln Moss, Austyn Moss, Daniel Gary, Grace Gary, Andrew Gary and Luke Gary; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral service with full military honors for Glenn Gary will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Cowan Cemetery in Powell, Missouri. Justin Braker will be officiating. Family and friends are meeting at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Jasper Christian Church in Jasper, Missouri.
