Stella Irene Johnson, 73, Granby, entered into rest on September 28, 2018 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Stella was born April 5, 1945 in Norwood, MO, the daughter of Clarence E. and Gertrude (Huff) Williams. She moved to the Granby area in 2011 from the state of Nevada. She had worked in food service at public schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking, gardening and was an avid quilter. She served on the North American Mission Board, 1998-2011 and was a member of the Diamond First Baptist Church.
Stella married Robert Johnson on May 27, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas and he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Dawna (Mike) Jourdan; Bobbi (Brian) Wathen and Wendy Munaco; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one brother, Carolos Williams and one sister, Joan Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie.
Services will be Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at 11:30 am at the Diamond First Baptist Church, Rev. Ron Crow will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery, Neosho. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until service time on Thursday at the church.
