George Linvel Lassiter, age 99, passed away Saturday September 15, 2018 following a sudden illness.
He was born April 25, 1919 in Carterville, Missouri to Walter and Rebecca (Baker) Lassiter.
George served in the United States Army for 30 years and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Memorial services will be 4:00 pm Sunday September 30, 2018 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
