Murel Wesley ‘Wes’ Nall, 81, Neosho, entered into rest on September 11, 2018 at his home following a sudden illness.
Wes was born December 21, 1936 in Cabool, Texas County, Missouri, the son of Merlin B. and Pearl E. (Wood) Nall. He served in the U.S. Army and then began working for the U.S. Postal Service. He moved to Neosho in 1978 from Springfield and worked in the Neosho Post Office, retiring in January, 1992 as Postmaster. He served as the first President of the Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity; was a member of the Stream Team and the Democratic Central Committee and enjoyed golfing, fishing, antique shopping and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Wes and Vera (White) were married on March 2, 1958 in Willow Springs, Missouri and she survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Melanie Haseltine of Springfield and Robyn Welch and husband, Brad of Fayetteville, AR; two grandchildren, Joey Welch and Liz Haseltine; one brother, Bob Nall and wife, Connie of Springfield and one sister, Kayrl Carrell of Springfield.
He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Louise; an infant son, Bruce Wesley; a granddaughter, Ashley Haseltine and his parents.
Services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 am at the Neosho United Methodist Church, Pastor Mitch Jarvis will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 2 pm at the Greenlawn North Cemetery in Springfield.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
