Velma Lucille ‘Lucy’ Long, 72, Neosho, entered into rest on September 12, 2018 at her home, following an extended illness.
Velma was born January 3, 1946 in Decatur, AR, the son of Issac and Dorothy (Brunk) Gilbert.
She worked as day manager at Buck’s Place in Neosho. She loved to play bingo and her best friend, ‘Munchie’.
Velma married Charlie Long and he preceded her in death.
Velma is survived by three children, Kenneth Bryan Shaver, Belva DeAnn Frazier and Renee Lynn Williams, all of Neosho and six grandchildren, Tyler Shaver, Blake Williams, Katlyn Williams, Bailey Frasier, Chloe Frasier and Madison Shaver.She is preceded in death by a son, Darren Lee Shaver, her parents and a sister, Alice Tuscinger.
Velma has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
