Angela Ruth Hill, age 63, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Freeman West Hospital Joplin, Missouri. She was born November 26, 1955 in Carthage, Missouri to the late James K. Burns, Sr. and Helena Frances (Redmond) Burns. She graduated from Carthage High with the Class of 1974.
She married Tim Hill on May 28, 1982; he survives. Angela truly enjoyed being a bus driver for Head Start and loved all the kids she drove for. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church of Joplin. She loved barbecuing, cooking, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and the New England Patriots.
Survivors include her husband, Tim; a daughter, Helena Hill, Perry, Georgia; four brothers, Claude Burns (Joan), Keith Burns (Chris), Harley Burns (Dorena), and Chestene Burns, all of Carthage, Missouri; a sister Sheila Davis (Miles), Carthage, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Burns, Jr. and Jesse Burns.
Graveside services will be held 10 am, Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Knell Mortuary. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Methodist Church, Joplin, in care Knell Mortuary.
