Harold Cupp

Harold H. Cupp, Sr., age 85, Joplin, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 at his home after an illness.

Harold was born February 6, 1934 in Joplin to the late Harold S. Cupp and Ethel F. Rhamey Cupp and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.

Harold owned and operated Cupp's Trash Service for over forty years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. On weekends, he could be found junking and going home to clean whatever it was he just found. Harold also was known and the neighborhood 'cat' man and loved to look after any that came around. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Harold married Ruby Wigent on July 23, 1955. She survives at the home.








Additional survivors include his children, Karen Crane and husband, Bob, Joplin, Kristy Carson and husband, Tom, Joplin, Harrison Cupp and wife, Lynn, Carthage, Jeff Cupp and wife, Carolyn, Sarcoxie, Lori Callis and husband, Randy, Diamond, Jai Cupp and wife, Camilla, Oronogo; one brother, Oliver Cupp, Carterville; two sisters, Mildred Height, Joplin, Helen Lewis, Baxter Springs; daughter-in-law, Janie Cupp; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a son, Seth Cupp; grandsons, Tommy Carson II, Jeff Cupp, Jr., Allan Davis; one brother, Bill Cupp; and a sister, Dorothy Wright.

Services are planned for Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Denny Carver will officiate. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Rickey, Colten Balestrin, Scott Callis, Aaron Callis and Skylar Callis. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnnie Riley, Tucker Cupp and Chase Callis. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
