Howard L. “Butch” Harris, 64, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Butch was born February 1, 1955 in Monterey Park, CA to Cliff and Colleen “Trout” Emery. He was raised and lived in the Carthage and Golden City Areas. Butch worked at Morgan Pallets and loved to fish, hunt, bowl and watch old western movies.
Butch is survived by his mother, Colleen; one son, Doug Harris of Carthage; one daughter, Nicol Henderson (Josh) of Kyle, TX; one brother, Kevin Emery (Angie) of Carthage; one sister, Denise Sterley (Brett) of Springfield; three grandchildren, Graysen, Ansley and Haley Henderson; friend, Dyann Elliston, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Cliff, and one sister, Deann Kaughman.
The body has been taken for cremation and a private family service will be held at a later date.
