Teddy Burt Hall, 84, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Carthage, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.

Teddy was born on September 22, 1934 in rural Arkansas, to the union of the late Johny and Birtha Irene (Birchfield) Hall. His family moved to Ongo, Missouri, at the age of nine, the family settled in the Sarcoxie, Missouri area. He was a lifelong area resident.

On September 19, 1959 he was united in marriage to Nellie Hendrix, together they shared almost sixty years. Teddy retired as a superintendent with Independent Gravel, Carthage, Missouri. He was a very dedicated and loyal employee. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, hunting, fishing, working on tractors, Christmas in July, and his “old dog Jake”. Teddy will surely be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johny & Birtha Irene (Birchfield) Hall; sister, Annamay Black & brother, Donald Maggard.

Ted is survived by his wife, Nellie Hall; his eight children, Laura & Paul Weber, Johnny & Georgiana Hall, Brenda & Dave Witter, Louise Dunaway, Tammie Smith, Christie Ewing & Clay Lovell, Eric & Michelle Hall and Curtis & Lisa Hall; twenty two grandchildren, Stephanie & Jeff Tworek, Paula Maynard, Scott & Amy Hall, Crystal Hall, Cree Hall, Shane Hall, Stacey Hall, Cory Garrison & kayla Cleveland, Ricky Dunaway, Jamie Dye, Teddy & Sarah Neal, Wendell & Kaime Smith, Lisa Turrentine, Lora Pennington, Brandon Hall & Adria Garrison, Justin & Tiara Hall, Joshua & Jennifer Skanes, Brendon & Stephanie Skanes, Nicole Collins, Samuel & Stephanie Skanes, Dr. Meghan & Chad Rourk & Dylan Skanes; thirty three great grandchildren, Sheyenne, Miguel, Liliana, Cory, Madison, Jesse & Candice Potarf, Waylon, Jedidiah, Chase, Ashton, Breanna, Ali, Paisley, Greyson, Briar, Chariot, Nylah, Andrew, Leland, Joseph, Jace, Rhyder, Steven, Connor, Gabriel, Alley, Logan, Ryan, Rickey, Kiley, Amelia & Mila; two great-great grandchildren; Lincoln & Wyatt; as well as a host of other family & friends.



Graveside funeral services for Ted are 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 at Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor Bub Miller officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Johnny Hall, Eric Hall, Curtis Hall, Brendon Skanes, Brandon Hall & Justin Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Rhyder Harmon, Jedidiah Hall & Waylon Hall. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
