Mary 'Carol' Laws was born May 2, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri, to James Willard and Mary Elizabeth (Bays) Dyal. She entered into rest on July 25, 2019 in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 75.
While Carol worked many jobs in her life, her favorite roles were wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Diamond First Baptist Church in Diamond, Missouri.
Carol married Jim Laws on Aug. 18, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and he survives.
She is also survived by one son, Ron Laws and wife, Sandra, Joplin; four grandchildren, Hannah Laws, Rachel Laws, Eden Laws, and Rebekah Laws; one brother, Bob Dyal and wife, Phebe, Eagle River, Alaska; one brother-in-law, Jack Laws and wife Diane, Boonford, NC; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends all over the country.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Laws.
Services for Carol will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Diamond First Baptist Church in Diamond, Missouri with Reverend Ron Crow officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30 from 5 – 7 pm at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. Interment will follow at Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, Missouri. Memorial contributions to honor Carol may be made to the Building Fund of Purcell First Baptist Church c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
