Former Kansas resident, Maureen S. Myers, passed away on July 21, 2019 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation in Joplin, Missouri.
The family will be celebrating Sherri's life at Jim and Pattie Rowland's home on Sunday, July 28, 3782 Douglas Fir Road, Joplin, at 1:00 p.m.
Sherri was born in Parsons, Kansas on March 21, 1948 to Walter and Barbara Cosgrove.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Cosgrove; husband, Walter Myers; a daughter, Sheryl Pauls and husband, Cary; grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua; great granddaughters, Amarae and Cambria; two brothers, John Cosgrove, Steve Cosgrove and wife, Barbara; and three sisters, Ethel Wooten, Pattie Rowland and husband, Jim and Margaret Schell.
She will be greatly missed by all, including nineteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Sherri loved to write poetry, hummingbirds and shopping! She and Walter spent countless hours garage saleing and just cruising around together.
Sherri was an excellent cook and a great baker. Many families in and around the Kansas City area were privileged to enjoy these talents for years when Sherri catered countless special events for them.
Sherri was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was indeed classy and loved unconditionally. She leaves a great example to all who knew her, and will be emulated by many.
All who knew Sherri will miss her greatly, but will find comfort in the fact that her pain is gone and she rests in peace.
