Jeffrey Brian Thomas, age 59, Joplin, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital.
Jeffrey was born February 6, 1960 in Joplin, son of the late Francis Thomas and Karen Sue Burnett Thomas. He attended Joplin Schools, and Memorial High School. He worked several jobs throughout the years including a brief time in Kansas City in maintenance at a golf course, and several years at Safeway Bakery. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his twin brother, Briant "Grady" Thomas, and his grandmother, Fannie Burnett.
Survivors include his siblings, Glenda Whitaker and Linda Terry of Kansas City, Missouri, Cheryl Fowler, and Douglas C. Thomas of Joplin, Camilla Smith, Jackie Shannon, and Joy Shannon all of Joplin, Ray Marion of Harvey, Louisiana, Michelle Stewart of Joplin, and Lisa Marion Howard and Edward of Miami, Florida; special aunt, Margaret Elaine Love of Joplin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. in Parkway Cemetery with Pastor Bernard Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
