Glen William Crumbliss, 95, passed away July 16, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Born July 23, 1923 in Neosho to Roy Nelson Crumbliss and Myrtle Mae (McFadden) Crumbliss. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1941. Glen lived his entire life in Neosho except for time spent in the Army Air Corps where he honorably served his country during WW II as a B17 pilot flying missions over Germany and France.
After completing his military service, Glen and his father founded Crumbliss Wood Products in 1946. Later they were joined by his brother, Cleo. The family business continued until 1989. Glen was also a Dixon Zyter lawn mower dealer for many years, continuing to provided repair and maintenance until in his late eighties.
Glen joined the Neosho Lions Club in 1952 and after 65 years of service, was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow, an award named after the organization's founder. He was also a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
He married Donna Logan in 1944 in Dyersburg, TN. The couple had two daughters. In 1966 he married Marjorie (Huffman) Patton and remained married until her death in 2004. Glen raised her young son and teenage daughter as his own.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, his parents, Roy and Mae Crumbliss, his sisters, Hazel Spencer and Lorene McBride and brother, Cleo Crumbliss.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Jones (Steven Scott), Sheila Jackson (John), step-daughter, Linda Robinson (David), step-son, Doyle Patton (Xiaoping), six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
