Roger Ray Hittle, age 72, Asbury, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Roger was born July 3, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Delver "Del" Hittle and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Hittle. He graduated from High School, and then served in the United States Army. He moved to Asbury in the 1979, and worked several jobs, including custom wood working, and was instrumental in the construction of Cowboy Bob's in Asbury. He owned and operated Star-Lite Trailers, where he designed and fabricated custom concession trailers. He was also a salesman for Cycle Connection of Joplin. He enjoyed being from Asbury, and was known for his ability to connect with anyone he met. He was a devoted man, both to his family, and his community.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Hittle.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Rhonda D. Hittle; sons, Scott Hutson and wife Nancy, and Brian Hutson and wife Dana all of Webb City; grandchildren, Grant, Mason, and Tucker; sister, Donna Ward of Columbus, Ohio.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Cowboy Bob's in Asbury with family and friends officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
