Kermit Lee Story of Galena, Kansas passed from this on July 19, 2019 at his home, he was 56.
Mr. Story was born on December 25, 1962 in Sydney, Nebraska to Kermit and Bonnie (Newton) Story. He lived in the Galena area since 2014 moving from Joplin, Missouri. He worked plaster for Exterior Stucco. Kermit loved watching television, chopping wood, floating down the creek and fishing.
Kermit is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Kim Clark.
Kermit is survived by two sons Steven and Marcus Jensen of Mississippi, one daughter Marie Jensen of Mississippi, two sisters Debra Doty of Galena, Kristie Palmer of Mississippi, two half-sisters Linda Faye Tappen of Nebraska and Roxanna Story of Nebraska. He is also survived by three step-sons Scott Lopez of Carl Junction, John Lopez of Mississippi, and James Lopez of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday July 25, 2019 at Derfelt Funeral Home in Galena, Kansas with Rev. Doug Melugin officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
