Larry Owens

Mr. Larry Lee Owens, 52, of Southwest City, Missouri, departed this life on Friday evening, July 26, 2019, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a brief illness.

Larry entered this life on August 3, 1966, in Seneca, Missouri, born to the union of Lawrence and Alberta (Martin) Owens. He was a lifelong area resident and a self-employed contractor throughout his life. He was a gifted drywall finisher, auto mechanic and a wonderful cook. Larry was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in times of need, but most importantly he had accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

His father, Lawrence Owens and his maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.










Larry is survived by his mother, Alberta Owens of Southwest City; a brother, Leslie Owens of Southwest City; three sisters, Marsha Cooper and husband, Kem, of Southwest City, Mary Owens of Noel and Michelle Moore and husband, Jay, also of Southwest City; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Saratoga Springs Cemetery in Southwest City with Pastor Larry Hendren officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Junior Owens, Gary Owens, Jay Moore, Leslie Owens, Bill Bostater, Chase Bostater and Felix Owens. The family will receive friends on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
