Dale Oxford

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Dale Loren Oxford, 64, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Neosho, Missouri. He came into his life in Neosho, Missouri with nine brothers and sisters and one half sister to the late Ralph (Hoppy) Oxford and Edith Mildred (Sage) Oxford on July 17, 1955.

He was a handyman and enjoyed building and working with wood. He loved nothing more than to be in the woods with nature or sitting by a creek watching the water flow by, shooting his cannon, and all his friends who stopped by to visit, play cards or dominoes, or to just blow off steam. He enjoyed going to rendezvous with the traders, camp fires, shooting competitions, knife and hawk throwing, the pranks, the friendships of all the rendezvous family life. Dale loved life in general and people, as he never met a stranger.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ralph Oxford, Jerry Oxford, Harry Oxford; his sisters, Grace Buol, Martha Ethridge and Geraldine Miller.

Dale is survived by his best friend, Shirley, his brother, John Oxford and his sisters, Francis (Ned) Sloan, Mary (Robert) Long and Patricia (Dave) Bly, and his many loved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 at the Community Center in Pineville, Missouri. The family will receive friends at this time. Celebration of life will held at 2:00 pm with Marilyn O'Brien officiating.
