Paul William (Bill) Houser, 77, a former Joplin resident who was born in South Bend, Indiana, December 9, 1942 passed from this life into his heavenly home, January 5, 2020.
Paul graduated from Constantine High School, Constantine, Michigan and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a devoted employee and member of Lake Haven Church, Eustis, Florida.
Paul was a man of many talents, with a big personality, who lived his life large. He left a lasting legacy with his big heart, that embraced those who walked into his life. Paul will be greatly missed, yet we are assured, he is with his Lord Jesus Christ and his loved ones who have gone on before.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothea (Trost) Purdy and Walter Houser; daughter, Anissa L. Houser; brother, James A. Purdy.
Survivors include sisters; Suzanne Barter Dost, Mary Ann Vylonis Smith (Floyd), sister-in-law, Kathryn Purdy Knight (Bill) all of Florida. Paul cherished his nieces and nephews who have experienced the priceless gifts of love, joy, stories and knowledge from their Uncle Paul. Fly high P We’ll all see you in a while!
Life celebration services were held Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Lake Haven Church, 801 E. Orange Ave., Eustis, FL 32726 under the direction of Pastors Shannon and Karin Carroll. Burial will be at a later date at Poe Cemetery, Jones, Michigan, beside his parents.
