James Ray Goucher age 72 of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. He was born on June 8, 1947 to David Goucher and Dorothy (Vaughn) Goucher in Huntington Park, California.
James was retired from the United States Air Force where he was a civil engineer and served in the Vietnam War. He loved drag racing and showing cars as well as hunting.
James married Marilyn (Morgan) Goucher on February 23, 1966 in Juarez, Mexico and she survives him.
He is also survived by his daughters, Shawn Koch of Carl Junction, Heather McClarnon of Springfield; grandchildren, Adam, Hollie, Josh, Jake and Hannah; 7 great grandchildren; and brothers, David Goucher and wife Martha of Webb City, Mike Goucher and wife Sharon of Jasper.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
The family will be present for visitation on Friday from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will full military honors will held on Monday at 2:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery Pavilion.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donation to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in his memory. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
