William Sherman Knowlton, age 54, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at his home. William was born June 15, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri to John Lawrence Knowlton and Charlette Anne (Steinberg) Knowlton.
He worked as a property manager, fixing up houses and doing maintenance work.
William married Sharon Wilson on January 1, 2000 in Carterville, Missouri; she survives. William loved camping, fishing, westerns, being in the outdoors and country, but most of all, loved spending time with family and helping others as much as he could. He attended the Carterville Christian Church in Carterville.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Melissa Lynn Estes (Chad), Norman, Oklahoma, and Kelsey Irene Young (Scott), Norman; five sons, Rocky Donald Lyons (Lucy), Little Axe, Oklahoma, Joshua William Knowlton (Brittany), Quapaw, Oklahoma, Samuel Ash Knowlton (Marie), Oronogo, Missouri, Michael Austin Knowlton, Independence, Kansas, and Jeriah Perry Knowlton, Independence; his father, John Lawrence Knowlton; four brothers, John Knowlton, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lary Knowlton (Patricia), Heath, Texas, David Knowlton (Jenny), Newport News, Virginia, and Donnie Schoonover, Norman; five sisters, Mary Ann Prisch (Ron), Joplin, Missouri, Charlene Evans, Joplin, Karen Bouchard (George), Oronogo, Carol Rose (Kevin), Oklahoma City, and Sharon Moreno (Jesse), Bullhead City, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren with one on the way; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlette; and a sister, Brenda Eubanks.
Per William’s wishes, there was cremation and services will be held at a later date.
