Janice M. Rohman, age 74, of Joplin, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Rohman, daughter of the late Stephen H. and Juanita (Hansford) Johnson, was born on October 5, 1945 in Joplin. She was a graduate of Joplin High School and attended college in Joplin.
She was united in marriage to Leonard Rohman on March 9, 1964 in Joplin. She worked most of her life as an administrative assistant and was employed with KODE/KSN until her retirement. She was a member of the Joplin Area Town & Country Quilters and an avid reader. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Rohman, of Joplin; one daughter, Jennifer Rohman, of Joplin; one brother, John (Steve) Johnson, of Joplin; one aunt, Leona Tate, and her husband, Tom, of Joplin; her special friend, Cynthia Workes, and her husband, Billy, of Sarcoxie; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one uncle, Melvin O’Dell.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Preferred Day Program of Joplin and entrusted to the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory, Joplin.
