Phyllis Ann Weber Raines, 89, passed away January 27, 2020 in Springfield, MO. Phyllis was born January 9, 1933 in Joplin, MO to Edward L. Weber and Maymie Pulda Weber.
She was a resident of the Carthage area for 25 years and was a homemaker and a master quilter. She was a member of Our Lady of the Cove of Kimberling City, MO and a member of the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Ann’s.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Robert Lee Raines January 24, 1950 in Joplin, MO; he preceded her in death January 1, 2005.

Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Anna Raines Midcap (Forrest) of Carthage and Linda Raines Rust of Galena, MO; three sons, Joseph E. Raines (Nancy) of Joplin, Stephen L. Raines (Marcia) of Galena, MO and Anthony L. Raines (Davina) of Galena, MO; eight grandchildren, Brian Raines, Jason Holliday, Andrew Holliday, Nicholas Raines, Heidi Lindeman, David Raines, Jeremiah Raines and William Hoover Jr. (April); and fourteen great grandchildren.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sister Assumpta O.S.B.; her husband; one daughter, Martha L. Raines Hoover; one granddaughter, Amy L. Hoover; and one grandson, Eric Paul Mayhue.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home. The Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO.
