Rita Craig

Rita Fay Craig, age 82, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born November 7, 1937 in McDonald County, Missouri, the daughter of A.H. “Spud” and Laverna Fay (Osborn) Penn. She was united in marriage to Dean Litchfield and to this union four sons were born.

On August 12, 2000 she married Leon Craig, who survives. 








Also surviving are children, Dennis Litchfield and his wife Brenda of Texarkana, Texas, Kenny Litchfield and his wife Karen of Neosho, Missouri, Kevin Litchfield and his wife Elaine of Monett, Missouri, Jeff Litchfield and his wife Theresa of Cassville, Missouri, Carl Craig and his wife Kim of Lantana, Texas, Joan Riddle and her husband Jim of Cape Fair, Missouri and Evan Craig and his wife Tonia of Purdy, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Donna Robbins and a granddaughter.

Rita grew up and received her education in McDonald County. In 1961 she moved to Cassville to make her home. During her younger years she worked at Dairy Queen. Later she worked for Jumping Jacks and then Justin Boot Factory, from which she retired. She was a member of Shady Grove Community Club and enjoyed her time as a Girl Scout Leader.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle will conduct the services. Burial will be at Russell Cemetery in Butterfield.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
