Retha Jane Magers of Commerce, OK passed from this life Friday, January 17, 2020 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. She was 72.
Retha was born October 6, 1947 in Pocahontas, AR to Benton and Vida (Jones) Cover. She had lived in the Picher, Cardin and Commerce area most of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Picher High School.
Retha had worked for Commerce Public Schools for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Retha is survived by 4 sons, Scott Mahurin and wife Dianna of Park Hills, MO, Joshua Mahurin and wife Tabitha of Imperial, MO, Chad Mahurin of McAlester, OK and Nicholas Magers of Park Hills, MO, 1 daughter, Tarra Mahurin of Farmington, MO, 2 brothers,J immy Cover of Ottawa, KS and Bob Cover of Miami, OK, 5 sisters, Barbara Mund of Miami, OK, Wanda Osburn of North Miami, OK, Phyllis Cover of Miami, OK, Kathy Hopper of Claremore, OK and Betty Meyers of Carthage, MO, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Commerce, OK. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
