Susie Wallace

Mrs. Barbara Sue “Susie” Wallace, 72, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday morning, January 19, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a recent decline in health.

Susie entered this life on June 16, 1947, in Houston, Texas, daughter of the late John Walden, Sr. and Dorothy (Haliburton) Walden. She was raised in the Houston area and was a 1965 graduate of Deer Park High School.

On January 15, 1968, in Durant, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to James Douglas Wallace and to this union three children were born. They resided in Texas until moving to Goodman, Missouri, in June of 2006. Susie was a homemaker throughout her life and most recently a caregiver for her best friend, Pam Albright. She enjoyed bowling and mowing her lawn. 








She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John “Butch” Walden, Jr.

Susie is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Doug Wallace; three children, Matt Wallace and wife, Barbie, of Kenefick, Texas, Daryl Wallace of Houston, Texas and Lori Davenport and husband, Chad, of Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren, Ambyr, Alex, Caulin and Carson; a great-granddaughter, Jazmineann; a brother, Tommy Walden of New Braunfels, Texas; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Susie will be held on Thursday evening, January 23, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor John Bartholomew officiating.
