Jesse Walker Beals, Granby, entered into rest on January 16, 2020 in Joplin, following an extended illness at the age of 89.
Jesse was born April 24, 1930 in Wakeeny, Kansas, one of four children to Charles Henry and Nellie Opal (Allen) Beals. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Valley Forge during the Korean Conflict.
He had worked for the Pepsi Cola Company in maintenance and also had worked in retail sales. He was a Master Gardener since 2006 and enjoyed working with potted plants and also enjoyed fishing on the Mississippi River. He was a member of the Latter Day Saints Congregation.
Jesse married Arlan Irene (Butler) in November 1954 in Ft. Riley, Kansas and she preceded him in death in February, 2001.
He is survived by a niece, Joyce Lee of Neosho; sister-in-law, Bonnie Beals of Neosho; five great nieces and nephews and numerous great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Wiley Beals and Charles Henry Beals and a sister, Lillie May Condray.
Jesse requested to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
