Carolyn Sue Woods, age 73, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on January 30, 2020, at the Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 21, 1946, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Rex and Edith (Moore) Seward.
Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Webb City High School in Webb City, Missouri and attended the Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri. She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide and attended the Carthage Christian Church.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Edith Seward, of Webb City; one son, Michael Woods of Carthage; one daughter, Ramona Spruce, of Aurora, Missouri; one sister, Linda Corner of Webb City; one brother, Jerry Seward of Webb City; five grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Tara, Kevin Jr. and Blake and two great-granddaughters, Julia and Caidence.
Carolyn loved her family and gave the best hugs.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Rex, two sons, Kevin Woods and Greg Bennett and two brothers, David and Ronald Seward.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
