Kamichia Sanner

Kamichia Ann Sanner, age 74, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 7:46 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born January 20, 1946, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Melvin and Evalina (Dawson) Brown.

Kamichia was a 1964 graduate of La Puente High School in La Puente, California and attended Mt. Sac Junior College in La Puente. She worked in housekeeping for Lawrence County Manor Nursing Center. She enjoyed gardening, camping, canoeing and fishing.








Kamichia is survived by her son, Erik Carter and his wife, Theresa, of Augusta, Kansas and his father John Carter of Mt. Vernon and daughter, Pamela Miller and her husband, Brian, of Grandview, Missouri and her father Jerry Sanner of Humansville, Missouri; two sisters, Doris Yates of Raytown, Missouri and Dollie Brown of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; niece and nephew, Sarah Yates and Stephen Yates and several cousins.

Kamichia was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Evalina and her sister, Suzie Bitzenberg.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in the Funeral Home chapel. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
