Our precious son, Dakota Lane Largen, brought us joy for 2 years, 6 months, and 30 days and will live on in our memories forever. God took him home to heaven suddenly on February 17, 2020.
Dakota was born on July 7, 2017 in Joplin, Missouri to Melinda Largen and Joseph Miksell and was a vibrant happy baby boy who loved life. His best buddy was his brother, and he loved holding Dawson’s hand in the car. Dakota loved learning, especially new words, and really loved reading books.
He was always ready to watch Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood or play with his mama and grandma. Chicken nuggets, french fries or ice cream with Grandma and going to church with his mama were just a few of his most favorite things. His laughing eyes and curly blonde hair made our hearts happy. His life was full of love and laughter.
Dakota will be missed every day by his parents, older sister Ashley Largen, younger brother Dawson Enochs, maternal grandparents Peggy Largen of Joplin and Charles Largen of Indiana, paternal grandparents Robert Miksell and Rhonda Miksell both of Joplin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and family who loved him dearly.
A service to celebrate Dakota’s life will be February 25, 2020 at 6:00 in the evening at Freeway Ministries World Headquarters, 1041 W. Kearney St. in Springfield, Missouri.
