Jerauld "Jerry" H Salzman, age 80, of Golden City, Missouri passed away February 10, 2020, at Good Shepherd Community Care.
Jerry was born July 14, 1939 in Kankakee, IL to Harold E. Salzman and Evelyn (Jerauld) Salzman. Jerry attended school in Chebanse, IL and served in the United States Navy. On April 4, 1957, Jerry married Frances "Marlene" Webber in Chebanse, IL and together they raised three sons.
Jerry was a farmer in Golden City and then moved to McBee S.C where he worked as a shop supervisor for a A.N. Webber Trucking Company. He was a Christian.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Salzman Jr. and Doug Salzman and his wife Jeanette, all of Golden City, MO; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Kem) Mein, Lockwood, MO, Andrew (Allison) Salzman, serving in the military, Amy Banta, Golden City, MO, Shannell (Craig) Isom, Winfield, KS, Jeremiah (Amanda) Salzman, Mt Vision, NY, Michael Salzman, Kansas City, MO, Rhonda (Ben) Lynch, Fayetteville, AR; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Salzman, Webb City, MO an Shona Salzman, Winfield, KS; and a very special friend, Betty Probert
He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene; one son, Kenny Salzman; and a sister Barbara Jensen.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2020, at Daniel Funeral Home with a private family burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Golden City, MO.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time, Friday at the funeral home.
