Carla June Diediker, 74, former Labette County resident, died at 12:34 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was currently a resident of Webb City, Missouri.
She was born November 30, 1945, at Oswego, to Carl J. and DeReva Deane (Thompson) Murphy. She grew up in Bartlett and graduated from Labette County Community High School at Altamont in 1963. She also attended classes at Labette Community College.
Carla and Donald G. Diediker were married at Bartlett on June 10, 1962. After their marriage they lived in several places, including Parsons, Altamont, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Isfahan, Iran. Don preceded her in death on October 2, 1986 at the age of 41.
After Don’s passing she lived in Altamont, Parsons, Joplin and Webb City. She was a member of the Zion Hill Church in rural Oswego and attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Joplin.
Survivors include three children, June Revell (Wayne) of Parsons, Leticia Fry (Harvey) of Lamar, Missouri and Jim Diediker of Parsons; nine grandchildren, Courtney Wilhoft (Jonathan), Whitney Evans (Alex), Waco Revell (Tiffany), Austin Revell (Stephanie), Bryanna Warner (Luke), Kaycia Frieden (Justin), MaKayla Fry, Jacey Diediker and Wyatt Diediker; seven great-grandchildren, Laredo Revell, Laramie Revell, Atticus Wilhoft, Jonas Wilhoft, Chase Warner, Cade Warner and Loretta Evans.
Besides her husband, Don, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, DeLores Hayden.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 15, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, with Pat McReynolds officiating. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery at Bartlett.
