Mary A. McCullough, age 74, of Carthage, passed away February 21, 2020 at Carthage Health and Rehab following an illness.
Mary was born on January 29,1946 in Joplin, Mo., to the late John Lee and Lottie Mae (Blatter) Chew.
Mary’s greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren. She loved Elvis and had a very large memorabilia collection. She was proud of her Business and Accounting degrees. Mary worked for the Motorola Company. After retirement, she opened a daycare in her home and loved taking care of the children who spent time in her home.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Chew, one sister Lottie Cornell and Husband Norman, and one brother in law Jon Blue.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Corkle and Husband Norman of Carthage, Mo., two grand daughters; Leslea Coggin and husband Philip of Olathe, Ks., and Andrea Schneider and husband Thomas of Joplin, Mo., four great grandchildren; Cassandra, Curtis, Tyler, and Walker. Three sisters; Bessie Brown and husband George of Joplin, Mo., Geneva Blue of Monett Mo., and Peggy Thornton and husband Jim of Monett, Mo., and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service will be held at the Mason-Woodard Chapel on Tuesday February 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Burial immediately to follow the service at Saginaw Cemetery in Saginaw, Mo. A visitation will be held at Mason-Woodard Mortuary on Monday February 24, 2020 from 6-8 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory in Joplin, Mo.
