Joan Stalker

Mrs. Joan Carolyn Stalker, 99, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2020, at McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Joan entered this life on July 13, 1920, in Emporia, Kansas, daughter of the late Harry Green, Sr. and Laura (Newton) Green. She was raised in Anderson, Missouri and was a 1938 graduate of Anderson High School. Besides being a homemaker, Joan worked at Ft. Crowder, Hudson Foods and as a cook at an area café. She enjoyed craft projects, painting, quilting and playing the piano. She was a member of Hilltop Mission Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Stalker on June 28, 1993; a daughter, Sharon Horton on September 18th, 2018; and a brother, Harry Green, Jr.








Joan is survived by her two children, Carolyn Burr of Anderson and Gary Lee Stalker and wife, Donna, of Rocky Comfort; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Scott Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Sandy Chandler, Randy Chandler, Ricky Horton, Bobby Campbell, Evan Campbell and Jeremy Burr.

 The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to the McDonald County Living Center Alzheimer’s unit c/o the funeral home. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
