Cherie Paige

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Cherie Norene Paige, age 76, passed away at home on February 9, 2020, after a six-year battle with bone cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, Dr. Roger Paige, of 59 years, her daughter Terra Baugh, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, and friends. Cherie was born on July 26, 1943 in Independence, MO, to Gerald and Doris Gabriel. She has resided in Joplin since 1976.

Cherie was a Psychologist and loved working at Carl Junction High School as a Counselor for 19 years where she gained many lasting friendships.








Roger and Cherie were the co-founders of College Skyline Counseling Center, which Cherie managed for many years. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin playing Mexican train dominoes with friends. She loved making needlepoint blankets for her grandchildren, playing numerous card games, and hanging with her dog.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Croy of Mercy Hospital in Joplin, and Dr. Carolina Schinke of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for extending Cherie’s life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Joplin Humane Society.

A Memorial Service for Cherie will be held at Mason Woodard Mortuary at 10am on February 15, 2020. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation immediately following the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
