Joan Pease

Joan Deloris Pease, age 75, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Monday February 24, 2020 at Mercy Hospital following an illness.

Joan was born on December 9, 1944 in Bristow, Ok., to the late Glenn and Lorine (Livingston) Pease. She grew up in Barnsdall, Ok. and moved to Guymon, Ok. in 1978. She then moved back to Barnsdall in 1988 and moved to Joplin in 1998 to be close to her sister and family.

Joan worked in banking as a loan officer for many years. She was the dispatcher for Panhandle Telephone Company in Guymon, Ok. She also owned her own craft and gift shop “Joanie’s Pretties.” She was also a Girl Scout Leader and was an active member of the Jubilee Club in Barnsdall, Ok.







Joan was preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by her brother, Glenn Pease Jr. and Wife Leslie of Casper, Wy. Her sister Judy Stinnett and husband Roy of Joplin. Joan considered her nieces and nephews as her children, they are her nieces Leslie Bowman and her husband Chad of Joplin, Aspen Pease of Rapid City, S.D., her nephews, Gary Forrest and his wife Jocelyn of Owasso, Ok., Zac Pease of Bartlesville, Ok., Glenn Pease and his wife Meagan of Loveland, Co.; many great nieces and nephews and three great-great niece and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Carterville Christian Church. Pastor Robin Sigars will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mortuary.
The family request contributions be made to the Carterville Christian Church in care of the Mortuary.
