Janet Lynn Spangler, 66 of Pittsburg, KS died Friday, February 14, 2020 at Via Christi Hospital Pittsburg.
She was born October 1, 1953 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Orville and Grace (Husky) Allen.
Janet was a Certified Sterile Processing Tech at Via Christi Hospital.
She was a longtime member of the Countryside Christian Church. She also was an avid quilter and crafter, but what she loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren.
In September of 2006 she was united in marriage to John Spangler he survives her of the home.
Additional survivors include a son Daniel (Cindy) Decker of Pittsburg, 2 daughters: Veronica Decker of Pittsburg and Dalyn (Gary) Holt of Arlington, IN; 2 step-children: Cassie (Kody) Bicknell of Pittsburg and Jason (Sandra) Spangler of Joplin, MO; her mother Grace Allen of Lawrence, KS; 7 siblings Steve Allen, Margie Wilks, Betty Oshel, Cathy Oshel, David Allen, Orville Allen, Jr. and Barbara Wilson; along with 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 11 am, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the PittNaz Church in Pittsburg with Pastor Kyle Rogers officiating. Inurnment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the PSU Campus Christians; these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
