Darlene Marie Hileman, age 79, of Lamar, Missouri passed away February 23, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.
Darlene was born April 11, 1940 in Ellis, KS to Daniel Schoenberger and Mary Ludwina (Dechent) Schoenberger. On August 8, 1970, Darlene married Randall Lee Hileman in Oakley, KS. She owned and operated several restaurants and was a homemaker, bowled on the Colby Bowl Women's League in Colby, KS and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a member of Christian Faith Outreach in Imperial, NE and most recently Lamar Family Ministries Center.
Survivors include her husband Randy Hileman, of the home; two sons, Robert Dean (Julie) Petersen-Hileman, Lamar, MO and Tod Lee (Jessica) Hileman, Hays, KS; four brothers, Eugene (Doris) Schoenberger, Natoma, KS, Daniel (Gail) Schoenberger, Garden City, KS, Edward Schoenberger, Greensburg, KS and Ronald (Cynthia) Schoenberger, Enders, NE; two sisters, Verlene "Fatty" Mader, Oakley, KS and Cindy Everly, Lawrence, KS; seven grandchildren, Micah (Madi) Petersen, Tulsa, OK, Caleb (Brittany) Petersen, Lamar, MO, Seth Petersen, Joplin, Lamar, MO, Levi (Daniela) Petersen, Salt Lake City, UT, Kursti Hileman, Manhatten, KS, Feyden Hileman, Hays, KS and Jude Hileman, Hays, KS; and a great-granddaughter, Alia Petersen, Tulsa, OK.
Preceding Darlene in death were her parents, a daughter, Anita Rose in 1992, two brothers, Alvin Schoenberger and Richard Schoenberger, three sisters, Dorothy Savacool, Patti Weschler, and Delores Schoenberger.
A Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Lamar Family Ministries Center with Bob Petersen officiating.
