Donnie Leroy Brattin, age 66, of Exeter, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on February 8, 2020.
Donnie was born on November 14, 1953 in Wheaton, Missouri, to Durwood C. and Geraldine (Senseney) Brattin, who preceded him in death as well as his brothers Danny D. Brattin and Karol D. Brattin.
On August 11, 1991 Donnie was united in marriage to Karen Joan “Joanie” Burbridge, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Tiffany S. Cornman and her husband Brian of Wheaton, Missouri; Hillary D. Komata and her husband Keith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Candace J. Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Trevor R. Brown of Cassville, Missouri; grandchildren, Justin Yeary, Keaton Komata, Hollen Komata, Tyler “TC” Burbridge and Tara Burbridge; siblings, Dorothy Cook of Stark City, Missouri, Diane Bowman and her husband David of Cassville, Missouri, Kelly Brattin and his wife Carol of Granby, Missouri and Kathy Pointer and her husband Carey of Wheaton, Missouri; mother-in-law, Barbara A. Burbridge of Cassville, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donnie grew up and received his education in Wheaton where he graduated in 1971. He worked at various occupations throughout his life and retired from Regal-Beloit (Fasco) Cassville, Missouri after 36 years of employment. Donnie was saved and baptized in 2008, a member of Fairview Community Church.
He spent time working on old vehicles, doing whatever was needed to help anyone in need. He always told Joanie he was a “Jack of all trades, Master of none”. He fixed about anything in his “Redneck Way”. Donnie enjoyed auctions, yard sales, pawn shops, as well as visiting various churches and gospel singings and concerts in Missouri and Arkansas with the love of his life “Joanie” by his side, his wife of 28 years. Donnie loved and enjoyed his family, friends and church family and will forever be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Terry Bailie and Brother Karty Burbridge will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Monday and Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
