Jerry Lawhead-Jay

Jerry Dewayne Lawhead-Jay, 52 of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Monday February 3, 2020 at his residence.

He was born March 5, 1967 to Jerry Sr. and Cathy (Sears) Lawhead-Jay, in Miami, Oklahoma and has lived in Miami all his life.

Jerry was a pipe insulator for Blue Industrial of Kansas City, Missouri and a member of the Cherokee Nation.

He is preceded in death by his parents one brother Ricky Jay and a sister Dee Dee Bridgewater.







Survivors are two sons Jared Lawhead and Jesse Lawhead one daughter Laticia Lawhead all from Hastings, NE, four brothers Jimbo Jay and wife Derenda of Claremore, OK Dusty Jay and wife Lori Mowrey-Jay of Miami, OK Larry Lawhead of Carthage, MO and Joe Lawhead of Gardner, KS three grandchildren Brynlee, Gannon and Novalee.

Services will be held Friday February 7, 2020 at the Christian Faith Outreach Church in Commerce, Oklahoma with Josh Bear officiating. Interment will follow in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral of Miami. 

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday February 6, 2020 from 6-7 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. Teddy Rhuems, Shannon Rhuems, Jeremy Manders, Kade Cantu, Shane Blizzard and Ricky Jay will serve as Pallbearers.
