Allen Baker

Allen Kincaid Baker was born October 31, 1946 in Stella, Missouri, one of four children to Arthur Allen and Bessie Wilma (Green) Baker. He entered into rest on June 13, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family at the age of 74, following an extended illness. 

During Allen's childhood, he and his family lived in numerous areas while their father served in the armed forces. They returned to the Stark City / Fairview area and Allen graduated from Midway High School. 








Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1966 to 1986, following his retirement from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, he returned to Stark City. He continued his education at MSSU, obtaining a degree in math, education and computer science. He then taught at Crowder College, Franklin Tech, Verona High School and Wheaton High School. 

He loved a new challenge, which led him to working on electronics and security systems. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. Allen was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. 

Allen and Patricia Joel were married on June 4, 1967 at Fairview Baptist Church and she survives. 

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Allen is survived by a son, Robert Allen (Amanda) Baker of Verona; a daughter, Karen (Jay) Bush of Tikki Island, TX; a brother, David (Michelle) Baker of Stark City; a sister, Mary (Tom) Bailey of Webb City and eight grandchildren, Abegaile, Rachael, Jacob, Miranda, Elijah, Allaura, Alexander and Bethany. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Baker.
