(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)April Marae (West) McKinnis, 40, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.
April entered this life on February 19, 1981 in Joplin, Missouri, to the union of John and Debbie (Settles) West. She was a graduate of College Heights Christian School.
For more than nineteen years she worked for Preferred Family Healthcare as a Program Coordinator. She was a very dedicated employee and always enjoyed taking care of her clients. On May 14, 2019 she was united in marriage to Joshua Adam McKinnis in Sarcoxie, Missouri. April resided in the Oronogo, Missouri area most of her life before moving to Sarcoxie. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded by her grandparents.
April is survived by her husband, Joshua, of the home; children, Levi McKinnis, Malachi McKinnis, David Yung, Jaykob McKinnis and Jessica Yung, all of Sarcoxie and Grace Keeling (Tristian) of Webb City; grandchildren, Khody and Alyzah; her parents, John and Debbie (Settles) West of Oronogo, Missouri; siblings, Tim West of Oronogo, Missouri and Jessica Neff (Chris) of Joplin, Missouri; grandfather, Jim Grider of Oronogo, Missouri and one niece, Lily Neff; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. McKinnis are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Mayfield officiating. Burial will following at Sarcoxie Cemetery.
She was preceded by her grandparents.
