Robert Volz

Robert Volz, age 76, of Diamond, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Medicalodges in Neosho, Missouri.

Robert, son of the late Ervin and Eleanor (Darbe) Volz, was born on December 4, 1944 in Kaw City, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Oklahoma and Kansas graduating high school in Altamont, KS. 









After graduation, he was drafted into the United States Navy where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Soon after his return from the Navy he met Patricia Spurgin and they were united in marriage on March 14, 1969 in Racine, Missouri. He was employed most of his life as a machinist and in his free time enjoyed fishing and working on old Ford’s and tractors. He and Patricia often attended the First Baptist Church of Racine together. He loved his family and delighted in being a grandpa.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Volz, of Diamond; two daughters, Sandy Christians, and her husband, Theodore, of Preston, CT, and Marietta Pelt, and her husband, Brad, of Loma Linda, MO; siblings, Richard Volz, of Coffeyville, OK, and Ann Volz, of Utah; six grandchildren, Serena Cochran, Gregory Cochran, Tony Christians, Cara Christians, Jacob Pelt, and Ruby Pelt; and several nieces and nephews.

Committal of ashes will be held at a later date at the Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, MO.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
