Mark Shrum

Mark Shrum, Jr., 41 of Carterville, MO passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. He was born October 18, 1979 in Joplin, MO. Mark was the son of Mark Shrum, Sr. and Terri “Weaver” Shrum. He was a longtime Carthage resident. 

Mark had been a water treatment specialist for Carthage Water and Electric and Missouri Water. He was a member of Christ Church of Oronogo. 

He loved fishing with his grandfather, was a Ford enthusiast, and avid Cardinal Baseball fan. Mark played golf and baseball. He played on the 1995 Carthage Babe Ruth League State Champs, however, his greatest love were his girls. 

Mark is survived by two daughters, Jillian Shrum and Annabelle Shrum, his parents Mark Shrum, Sr and Terri Shrum, one sister Randie Flenniken and her husband Michael of Belton, MO, one nephew Rhett Flenniken, Paternal Grandparents, Eva Jo Shrum of Carthage, MO., and Maternal Grandparents Sunny Weaver of Carterville, MO. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday June 18, 2021 at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
