(From Ozark Funeral Home)Marilynn Moritz, 74, of Anderson, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She entered this life on December 27, 1946 in Elmhurst, Illinois to the late, Orval Vinton and Mary Beryl (Baker) Moritz.
Marilynn graduated from MSSC in Joplin, Missouri in 1982, with a bachelor’s degree in education. She worked at the Noel School in special education for five years and taught at the Southwest City Elementary for 23 years.
She was a member of the Noel United Methodist Church, but was currently attending the United Methodist Church in Anderson, Missouri. Marilynn was a member of Noel Women’s Club, Eastern Star and helped deliver meals to homebound residents in Anderson. She enjoyed singing in the Choir, researching genealogy, reading and wrote several poems.
Marilynn is survived by her three children, Kent Lincoln and wife, Kristy of Walnut Creek, California, Kathy Knott and husband, Derek of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Kristy Thompson of Anderson, Missouri; a brother, Robert Moritz and wife, Jill of Scottsdale, Arizona; four granddaughters, Abbot Lincoln, Laura Thompson, Ande Lincoln and Sara Knott; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation service.
Memorial contributions in loving memory of Marilynn, may be given to the McDonald County School Foundation, P.O. Box 84, Anderson, Missouri 64831 or in care of the funeral home.
