(From Simpson Funeral Home)Kaye Francis Sanders, 90, went to sleep in the Lord on June 23, 2021 at Freeman’s Hospital in Joplin. Kaye was born October 5, 1930 in Detroit, MI, to Harley C. & Buela (Coates) Rusk, who both preceded her in death. She attended & graduated from Carthage High School in 1947.
She married Jimmy (Jim) Ray Sanders on October 5, 1947. Her husband preceded her in death on 11/3/2003. Her son, Dan E. Sanders, preceded her in death on 11/11/2020. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harley Rusk, Jr., Carl Rusk, Zane Rusk & Don Earl Rusk.
She loved telling people about her Lord & was a faithful member & Spiritual Leader of the Carthage Seventh-day Adventist Church. She liked doing things for others & visiting with them. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She was a good & kind person.
A wonderful & loving Mom & Grammie to her family. She has left a large hole in our hearts that won’t be filled on this earth. She will be greatly missed by many.
Kaye is survived by one brother, Gary (Joan) Rusk, Berrien Center, MI, 3 daughters: Debi (Vinman) Timlin, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Diana (Michael) Fidler, Summerfield, FL & Kathy Sanders, Deltona, FL, 1 son Gene (Brooke) Sanders, Joplin, MO. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren: Heather DePalma, Delina DeRousha, Damian DeRousha, Seth Musselwhite, Kary Ann Stone & Jesse Helsten, 18 Great grandchildren & 8 Great Great grandchildren.
She will be cremated and no services will be held, at her request.
